Louisa has such good balance and is very athletic, so we thought it would be a great gift to take advantage of the awesome ice this year and get her skates. Found the double blades at Olympia Sports in size 10 (thanks for the tip Jeff). They fit her great and immediately after opening them she said, ICE SKATES!!! Then when to put them on and walk around the living room carpet, HILARIOUS. First try on the ice went well, really just had her get comfy with sitting on the float frozen in the ice. She got to watch me and tried it once, but "...SO SLIPPERY DADDY..." so that was a little scary. Such fun to share in these awesome family experiences, she's growing up so fast.
