Mother Nature surprised us, forecasts called for rain all day, but instead we had glorious sunshine and temps reaching almost 70. So what better way to spend a satuday than to go off exploring around the pond. Always so cool to see how busy our forest friends have been over the winter months. Someday Louisa will be taking her kids around the same paths that Katie explored as a little girl. SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!! Saw some tiny peeper tadpoles on the water's edge, so won't be long, just need some warm rains to bring them out.

We had a wonderful day in one of the oldest towns in North Carolina, New Bern. A nice saturday morning open market, beautiful gardens, GREEN GRASS, delicious food (GROUPER in season), delicious ice cream, cool shops, original PEPSI FOUNTAIN, and just plain fun hanging with our family!!!

After years of planning a Behner family getaway to celebrate now 4
birthdays with Louisa's, kicking off with at least one official one
today for my mom. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Got a morning ski run in with82deg
temps at Coble's for Scotf/Anne and then heading to bottom of Outer
Banks to enjoy the coast. This is a pic of the ski pavilion at two of
4 lakes. Ahhh the hot tub felt great on sore muscles!!!
